Splitter for sale

Good news - it looks the nuts

splitter.jpg

The patch of oil in front is actually WD40 from where I was cleaning off my turbo prior to fitting the SFR induction pipe.

That does look a bit purposeful. I wish I could see it in the flesh at the Reading meet tomorrow []

Could you use the WD40 to lube the underside for speedbumps and driveways [:D]

Are they available anywhere else,,, IE the US ?????

Group buy coming on?????????

Lindsey Racing do show a splitter in their extensive GRP catalogue (it isn't by Linsey its by another company) but this doesn't have an undertray. As far as I'm aware Andrew has given up on getting a spliter.

Thems as what saw Beaky on the road yesterday did say that he looked rather good. That said, I do think my DP Motorsport splitter looks less strange on my black car than it does on Martyns silver car.

If anyone is thinking of getting one, be warned - speed bumps do become a big issue. []

Looks good John.
Pity about the speed bump issue. Good job (I guess) that someone hasn't bothered replying to a thread they started. (What's the point of that?)
Since I am imprisoned by speed humps, I would of only been able to go up the street a few car lengths and turn round and back again. (Like being a kid again and riding your bike up and down the street) A blessing in disguise.
I might make myself a stubby/halfling speed bump safe version and get my mate to knock it out in carbon fibre.
Maybe I could just velcro it on so I can keep replacing it like a disposable razor[:)]
Or just not bother, probably!

But you wait untill you see it in the flesh. You know you want one. [;)] It does give the nose a more finished contemporary look IMHO.

Speed bumps are an @rse though.

What you reckon John??

You'd be fine with that as it is a gradual incline. It's steep inclines that are a sod as the splitter isn't much, if any, lower than the original under tray - it just sticks forward reducing the angle of attack.

If you realy are that keen perhaps I aught to come round and test drive them [;)]

Edited 'cos of spolling.

ESS now have a splitter in fibreglass or carbon fibreglass mix, here

It's not as low as mine though [:)][]

Nice to know that there is a replacement when mine comes to grief - unless someone with standard height front springs would like to make me an offer. Or someone with lowered springs who uses the car on the track.

I trust you don't have to put the Turbo badge on the front bumper though []. Even I find that unpleasant and I've got my web site on the back of the car.

Nice splitter - I much prefer the plain look over the ones with shaped lumps on the ends.

That Turbo badge on the front bumper is particularly offensive though, isn't it?

Would probably cost around £50 to get it painted anyway.

It cost me £150 to get Beakys done but they did make a fabulous job of it. There was a nasty mould line atound my splitter where the bottom joined to the top, all that was filled and smoothed so you can't see it now. It's already chipped so that was a waste of time [;)]

Just a thought, I don't know if you can see the top of the top or the top of the bottom (if indeed there is a bottom) on Simons splitter, when you look in the wheel arch. On mine the top of the bottom needed painting as the tray section was a very obvious white otherwise.

Looking at the pictures, I am assuming Simons is a unitary panel (as it is relatively flat) so this shouldn't be an issue.
