Spoilt for choice : Cayman shopping

That car would have been around £48k new, so they will have bought it in at under 50% of its new value at 3.5 years old. They probably paid £20k, so they are a bit rich on their screen price. With no part ex you should be able to see £3k off their price. See the post by Spoonie and his dealership comments about buying stock on page 1 - post 13 You could always call a few OPCs pretending to own that car to get a feel for what their interest and price would be.

ORIGINAL: Spoonie I just had the Sytner group buyer come to my house and buy my Cayman S, he informed me that prices were in free fall, this was after we'd agreed a price two days ago, dealer where not buy stock as of midnight yesterday, and said dealer will be reducing used prices by the morning, just though you might want to keep a close eye on the next couple of days.
he would say theyre in freefall wouldnt he!!!!!!! exact opposite of my recent experience-i was offered 20k 4 months ago and last week was offered 24k and 25k for my 2006 cayman s 18k on clock.not many good used examples being traded .so prices firming up imo

ORIGINAL: Alan Armstrong As an owner who did spec zenons and have had them for the last 3 years, I was not impressed, and wouldnt spec them again on another new Cayman.
Maybe it's because you thought you were getting zenons, when what you actually got was xenons [:D][:D] Joking aside, I like the way they look on cars at dusk, as well as the marginally better light.

Well I sent emails to 15 dealers, listing it's spec, no price was mentioned and only one replied, so if they are in such short supply the lack of response doesn't stack up IMHO

It's never going to handle like a Cayman, but I need a tad more refinement and the engines a corker.

You must be very tall as I haven't found leg room to be much of a problem. On the refinement aspect granted the Cayman is noisier than a BM Coupe when cruising but that 911 sound is preferable to an oil burner anyday.

The 335i is twin turbo petrol, a 306 BHP 300 ft/lb @ 1300 RPM the same as the engine I had in my 135i prior to buying the Cayman, it really is a peach of an engine.

i can understand 4 seats a bit more luggage space and relaxd longdistance cruising but having had one before the cayman i found it relatively unexciting and humdrum-great as lindas touring to ferry the kids to uni-but me-i want a bit of FUN and i had very little in the 335 coupe(all compared to the porsche of course!!) horses for courses-and it sounds like itll fit your needs well best of luck
