Spotted

Today I saw a silver 968 cabriolet and just outside work a sort of silver blue 944 S2 (which I see everyday because the owner works at a porsche body shop across the road from where I work)

Hmmm, in my experience ......... don't even look in my general direction, neither do Boxster owners. (Mind you, I did manage a very good high-speed convoy with a 993 on the M3 the other day ... )
Interestingly I pulled into the forecourt of the local Cohen brand with the 'cab' on one of its rare excursions to to work and back, for some 99. ( No flake jokes, ok? The turbo does not run on ice-cream and chocolate) and there in front of me was a Boxster, yes taking fuel on board. He acknowledged me first.
  • Not all Boxster drivers ignore you
  • Some Boxseter drivers realise they are mere mortals.

looks very nice in the snow we didn't get any down south.
spotted on 7th Feb round the back of the Porsche dealership a very nice Green and black 997 GT3 RS they look amazing.

Last time I went passed the Inn at Whitewell was on the Virago. Loads of people outside (wedding reception). Dropped it down a cog and opened it up just so that the happy couple had something to remember the day by. It was last year so probably going through divorce procedings now! [:)]

Just to keep it on topic saw three Porsches when I got home.

Cheers,

Spotted a Red 944 cabriolet today. Bit of a cheat this one as it wasn't out in the wild, it was in captivity at Hartech, but I wanted to mention it as it was a bit special. Not only was it a Turbo, it was K reg - apparently one of the very last ones to be registered.

Bu66er, no matter how hard I try, there's always something a bit more special. [:(]
I can spot one of those things (but not that one) every day outside my house. It's mine. Yes the cab in my avatar is a turbo too. Common as muck now.[:D]

I had a breif run following a new shape boxter on the A6 near market harborough! It was quite good fun actually and it has to be the first time I've ever seen a Boxster driven in anger!

Don't get many 'K' reg cars in Lytham then, probably too old (like most of the residents!) [:)][:)]
Ouch!
Anyway, your Avatar reminds me. I spotted a nice old 'G' reg 911 targa in Morrison's petrol station this morning. it was just taking off as I arrived. It looked to be a similar colour to yours. Right, i'm off for my cocoa and pills now. [;)][:D]

Stronger glasses needed there George, my avatar shows a 'C' reg 964. Work this one out - originally a 1990 on a 'K' reg and has always been in the British Isles.
p.s. See R18 section re Raby Castle

Cheers,

I stand corrected! Truly common as muck as you say then aren't they!! And only 28000 miles - you should take it out more often, poor thing locked away all the time, let it stretch it's legs. Actually, having done 90,000 more than yours I'm just jealous!!

George,
The 964 was first registered in the Isle of Man - in fact one of the registrations my car had at one time was 'A911MAN' - wish it was still on it. It now is 'C2FRD'.

If you're that jealous there is a grey one in auto trader with dark blue leather. 23, yes 23,000 miles a snip at £17,000

One of the only things that makes me more jealous of your low mileage 944 cab is someone who can afford to spend £17,000 on one!
