Spring Drive

Hi All,

For those of you that were there, I hope you enjoyed the lunch at the Popinjay.
I was discussing the possibility of a spirited drive with some members then and would like your opinions on this. I have yet to finalise the details but I'm looking at a weekend in April. It will be a day's outing only, so morning to late afternoon inc. lunch stop. The weather will hopefully be better (then again we do reside in Scotland).
Please also advise if there are any other drives that might coincide that I'm not aware of.

Many thanks,

Ash

Hi Ash, On holiday for a couple of the April weeks but if I'm here i'd like to tag along. Enjoyed the lunch.

Good idea and i should be able to make this one though i dont know how you stop these runs from becoming Cannonball/Gumball type rallys especially with cars that can break the speed limit in a breath. Maybe i have just been with the wrong kind of crowd before and the Porsche ones are a bit more civilised.

Alison - If the weathers nice then i could ditch the 996 and act as navigator for you with the Boxsters roof down[;)][;)]

Uhh and i had just pictured us like "Thelma and Louise" aswell. Yeah if the weathers nice then you can take the 996 and i will take the Boxster - I hope its a manual as more females seem to go for the Auto option? No offence intended Brian.

P.S. Why does your MAN comment not suprise.

Thats a deal then. But could you leave your wee boys Booster seat for me?
My Boxy is a manual so no worries there.

The MAN comment comes from a morning of dealing with testosterone overloaded nuggets! Who cannot see the woods 'cause they're hiding behind the tree's!

You go Girl!

I'm up for this so long as it doesn't clash with the TIPEC trackday at Bruntingthorpe (weekend of the 26th April).

Also so long as you're all happy to wait for me to catch up at some rest stops along the route "¦

Excellent guys. I'll plan a route out this weekend and will release details to you soon.
Thanks for feedback.

Ash

Depending on date Kay and I could be up for this, would be good to catch up.

Btw I'm sure she will love the "girl's do auto" comment.....[:D]

Can I just clarify at this point that my Boxster isn't automatic?

It is my car that has all the Girl,ly bits fitted. Auto. Rear Park Sensors ,12 volt adapter for the Curling tongs.and it is Speed Yellow [:D][:D]
I have seen most of the females in our club drive ...they do not hang around

only 'cause the road from your house to Tesco is a 30mph limit and peppered with those annoying traffic calming humps/islands/lights.

Hi All,

Further to my last message, please be advised that the drive will be held on the last sunday of April . Without divulging too much away, I've managed to mix some nice roads, scenery and attractions for members. An email will be out with details/menu/numbers in due course (i.e after this month's Post). It will last pretty much the whole day as discussed previously but should be quite relaxing at the same time. Since this is my first event and I've put a decent amount of work in it, I hope it pays off - assuming the weather is good!

Best Regards,

Ash
