Square dash without cracks?

Cheers Andy. It was good to meet you too. I had planned to get a first look at that one just down the road today, but they weren't open. [:(]

I've got the time off from unpacking pre-approved for next saturday though!

Just noticed this when it came back up, I can understand you leaning towards the early cars, Ok mine is am oval, and for one thats had a hard life its dash is immaculate, have to add that my reasons for wanting an oval was that I'd had 3 924s before it and needed it to feel like a different car from the inside as well as the outside so I completely understand you when you say that the interior is just as important, after all thats where you spend most of your time with the car.

Good luck with you search Simon with prices the way they are you car is out there and will be at the best price you'll ever buy one at there is no better time to buy than now

It certainly seems that way. I've been stunned at how cheap these cars are to be honest. To think I was going to get a rubber bumpered MGB for the same money originally...[&:]

I owned a series one 944 (a 1985 in 1992) which came from the factory with those sills (or probably from the OPC, as I suspect that they were a dealer-fit option).

Far more are after-market than were original though. Originals were made from a black GRP IIRC, with the original 'toast rack' rear under spoiler made from black ABS.
