I supposed that wax should dry out in 10 minutes after the application (I applied it about a week ago)...
Maybe I was to generous and put too much of it inside?
Did any one who went through this exercise experience the same?

Today, after driving in a rain for a while I saw a flow of that Pedro's Ice Wax that I put under the rubber some time ago... It was coming out from the low side corner of the windscreen... I pulled up the rubber on both lower corners and about 70 ml of wax spilled out...[]

Hi Ach
Sorry to drag up this old post but I've had the same problem on several occasions now,its particularlyy bad after its been raining. Did you manage to find a solution? I can have a squeak free screen but the lubricant runs all over the paintwork and especially the side windows.

I used Pedro's Ice Wax and know what you mean. The trick is not to use very much. I found that using a fingertip to rub lubricant on the furry underside of the external lip of the rubber, where it will rub on the painted windscreen surround, is sufficient to kill the creak and not cause leaks. You may need to reapply it every couple of months to keep the creaks banished, but this is the price you pay for not getting unsightly streaks on the roof where it runs out. I hope this helps.
Thanks for this , will give that a ago.

I recently had some windscreen corrosion repaired on my car. The bodyshop that carried out the work fitted a new outer seal as part of the job. The new seal is far softer and more malleable then the one they removed and does not squeak at all. I am guessing that the original seal hardens with age and this is the cause of the squeak. IIRC the new seal is about £50.

I did not find any good solution.. What I actually did was to turn up the edges of the rubber on both sides after the rain and let the remains of wax go out with a little water that was there as well. After that it got better but did not eliminate the problem in full.
Now after few months I almost do not have any signs of wax and there are no squeaks as well. I think that if squeaks come back again (usually it happens in summer) I will follow grogger's advice.

The part nr for the windscreen wire is 996.531.903.00 and is around £6.
A strut tower brace also reduces the creaking of the windsheild.
Sorry to be stupid. Could you tell me what windscreen wire is, for £6 I'll be trying it anyway. Any recommendations for the strut brace.

It's like a long cord which goes between the windsheild and the frame.
