It's fine. No vibration when warm or cold. I do have a bit of wheel wobble though which was obviously exciting the steering system. I think this is more to do with my front disks getting very thin and maybe are now slightly out of balance as my front tyres are only a few months old and were perfectly balanced before. However the rattly feeling has gone and there is no detectable play in the steering system.
I got the work done at PH Sportscars near Derby. They are a Porshce specialist and also a breakers so you can save a bit more cash and get a 2nd hand link but for a £20 difference I thought new was the way to go.
Next job - replace the corroded fuel pipe that I spotted when the car was on the ramp having it's steering shaft replaced. MOT next month so it's got to be done. From previous threads here it's sounds V.expensive!
