I installed this one

The horn pattern matchs my wheel centres (all blacked out embossed style) plus it has a good feel size and width wise

Hello again Andrew.

Try www.design911.co.uk and go to their steering wheel section. The wheel at the top of the page is the one I went for whilst at the Porsche Festival last year. The stitching and general quality is better than some of the others I saw on their competitors' stands that day. It is slightly smaller than the standard wheel though hardly noticeable and has a lovely feel and grip to it and the centre pad/horn works perfectly too.
Good luck!

Peter

I fitted a club sport wheel and I am v pleased, the wheel is smaller but not too much, and the grip is thicker.
Whatever you do keep the original wheel....

Hello,
This was probably the first item i changed in my car and for me an excellent upgrade. The origional not the most appealing design.I found the fitting of the new wheel a breeze. The main thing to note is make sure you have the front wheels pointing strait ahead when you remove the origional, you also need to apply a fair amount of pressure when undoing the nut especially if it has not been disturbed before .
The feel of the new wheel is certainly worth it and allthough slightly smaller doesn't make the steering heavy.

Ian,
I changed the original sterring wheel (as it's quite big) for a 3 spoke RS Steering Wheel with Porsche Badge, see the link below:

http://www.design911.co.uk/index.htm?Region=UK

This is a popular wheel and really suits the 3.2, some of the newer wheels look too new and having owned a 993 I don't think it has a great wheel.

The only point to make is a smaller wheel does make the steering heavier, but this is only really noticable at slow speeds.

Suggest you keep the original wheel in case you sell and can offer the original wheel with the car.

Greg

hey, see the wanted section, someone is after a CS wheel...but they could be tempted............

Thanks SP, will have a look, but the link's not working ATM

Tot, im not selling, just restoring.

Thanks, these seem like the ideal people [:)] . Only just down the road from where I used to live, and not to far from where I am now [:D]
