Strathclyde Police Garage Visit

T200

New member
Hi all was wondering if any of you guys and girls would be interested in a wee tour of the Transport Department Workshop (fancy name for the the police Garage) where all our new vehicles are liveried and maintained. I have got a visit agreed only need to arrange a date Thought one of the club Tuesday nights as they are in Glasgow anyway. Wanted to sound all you out for numbers. Scott they would love to see your red Fiat, there and I would see if my red VW will make it this time. You all might be able to note down the numbers of the unmarked video cars save you all a bit of money lol[:D]

Keith,

I have got the visit agreed by the service manager but just need to confirm a date that suits everyone and a time.

Chris

Me Me Me Me Me Please did something similar many years back when I was RO visited Helen St drove the Artic and some cars in the yard then out on a hot lap around the city motorway full commentary all the way Also had a night up at the skid pan at Tullialan
so would be up for more.

Brian, dont think we will get a spin any of the cars as the garage is no longer at Helen Street but my mate is off the driver training at Jackton soon so might try to get him to fix up a visit to Driver Training later in the year

Chris

I cannot find the guy's name I had he was a sergeant based at Milngavie I believe he was promoted and had something to do with the bike division Whatever you can arrange will be great

Count me in to, don't think there will be a shortage of attendees for this.

I've been selected to attend a driver awareness course with Northumbria Police shortly. I was selected at random by one of their roadside cameras last month and received a nice letter offering the course at a discounted rate. ÂŁ60 and no penalty points.

Count me in as well, any day suits......well as long as it doesn't clash with any other R1 events!! I was going to contact Tulliallan about a summer visit for R1 members and ask about skid-pan driving etc. Would you be able to assist Constable!!!!???[;)]
