Can't manage the first Tuesday in May, sorry .. .. ..
Reminder for everyone about the Police visit next Tuesday. (Details from Club Magazine below)
Tue 5th May "" Club Night (Visit to Strathclyde Police Transport Workshop)
In place of the regular Sherbrooke meeting we are visiting the Police Transport Workshop. We will meet at the Sherbrooke Hotel for a 7pm departure to the workshop, or meet at the workshop for 7.30pm sharp. The visit will be finished at around 9pm so we can head back to the Sherbrook for a drink and a chat. The visit has been organised by one of our new members Chris Wilson and I hope everyone makes the effort to attend, even if only to see the un-marked traffic cars in the flesh. The workshop is in Meeklewood Road Glasgow.
regards
Scott

Hi just some information for those who are heading straight to the garage if you head down Helen Street and take a left at the roundabout onto Shieldhall Road heading for the Southern General Hospital then it's left into Balbeg Street at the end of the road its a right and the garage is located a couple of hundred yards on the left. Be warned Meiklewood Road is not a great surface and has a few pot holes and there is a bit of a gradient into the garage complex, so please take care of your pride and joy's when coming in. Once in the car park if you take the second right this will take you down to the front of the garage.
I have arranged with Colin from the garage that our cars will be parked just outside the entrance into the workshops.
I have got a cell van arranged for misbehavers So Bill you have been warned
Look forward to seeing you all on the night and hope you enjoy the visit.

Will be there but sans boxster because it broke last weekend. Good start, eh? duff battery then auto linkage breaks. Turns out that the widget that really needs replacing is on back order from der fatherland so it will be a total to two (yes, TWO) boxsterless weeks.
I'm thinking of buying a Range Rover now.... (Seriously) but that's another story.
The new showroom is nice. I hope I don't become too familiar with it though. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the lovely Catriona (?) from Audi has seen the light and been converted into a Porsche reception person.
So, when you phone up, what you MUST do is say - is that Glasgow Audi ?? Wait for the reaction.....
And some folk (not two feet away from this very keyboard) say have no sense of humour. Hah!

Great night ..thanks to Chris and Scott for organizing it and Colin for showing us around ,some very interesting vehicles and loads of traffic cars and motorbikes to be seen ....sat in the back of a traffic car hope that is the last time [][][] excellent turnout about 35 people came along and some new faces as well
Agreed,
Chris/Scott/Colin - thanks very much for organising and putting up with so many questions! I was surprised how much work you have to do on the cars. 30 years ago when I worked for BL/Rover we built "Police Spec" cars with all the paint work, wiring, lights etc pretty much ready for action, but I guess car factories are more streamlined these days and less willing to do special production runs.
Very enjoyable.
Thanks
Mark (with Val last night)
