Stupid Hatch

No but you could try this

Not very funny I know..... but the best I can come up with on a boring Saturday morning at work.

you could always try using a leather belt to keep the boot closed. like the old fords used to have. it would bring a whole new meaning to buckling up.

Sometimes the hatch pops open after the boys have slammed the hatch shut! [](Eldest has just protested - I never slam it - little brother does!!). Hubby reckons it doesn' t catch properly when you slam it as it " bounces" off the rubber seal.

Boys now instructed to gently, but firmly push the hatch down, pressing above the clips - problem solved! [:)]

It is really cool, however, when the stays are new and the hatch pops open on its own - the other children at my sons' school think the car is sooooo cool (especially when you flash the pop up headlights!) [:D]

Don' t start me on that one Helen, oh! you have.

Where I live the local " ladies who lunch" berate the local council into installing sleeping policeman (institutional vandalism) to proctect thier precious from the assault of the rep-mobiles and then attack said policemen at 50mph in their X5' s with impunity.

I get my own back by driving my Porsche over such obsticles at 5-10mph[]

[>:]north nottingham is the place to go for speed bumps!!! i counted 27 along one stretch of road.

as you say i got my own back by driving at about 5-10mph over them.you should have seen the que, tee hee!!

you have to buy her a cayenne so she' ll fit in with all the other 4x4' s[:D][:D][:D]

There is NO way that Mrs Diver944 (aka Debra Smith) would be seen dead in a 4x4 [:' (] she dislikes them getting in her way and blocking her view as much as I do. It' s a shame they aren' t a little bit taller, then we could drive straight underneath [:D]

Anyway, the ' fashionable' drivers at our boys school have moved away from 4x4' s, have tried huge people carriers for a short while and are now all getting in to Mini Coopers. It' s a fickle world at the school gate [8D]

Grrrrr [][][] This is one of my pet hates also Robbie.

We live around the corner from a school which is on a road persistently used as a ' rat run' to the local dual carriageway. Severe speed bumps were installed last year which have done nothing to reduce the speed of large vans, executive saloons, 4x4s etc which regularly fly over in excess of 30mph.

Local residents and parents who took care anyway seem to be the only drivers affected, but I do admit to also crawling over at 5-10mph [;)][;)] but even then I have literally had 4 new exhausts in the past year (non Porsche)

Getting back on topic - these bumps would cause a dodgy tailgate to fly open [:)][:)]

I have loads of speed bumps near my house which what probally caused the problem in the first place.

I cleaned and sprayed my latches as said on here and its seems to be ok for now, just hope it holds up for the cotswold rally.
