Just to let everyone know that although it might seem several weeks away, online booking has now opened for tickets for this very popular event. We understand that already half of the tickets for display have gone so you'll need to be quick if you do want to attend.

This time, the organisers have allocated a large dedicated area for us on the airfield to accommodate the large number of Porsche owners that are now supporting this event.

FYI, when you book, all Porsche sports cars (2 seaters and 2+2s) of any age are classified as 'Classics'. More information and links to the booking service can be found here.

Alan.

Have booked this Malcolm Goode Boxster 981 2.7 PDK Guards Red M60AKK MY2014 E-mail link on booking page does not work to enter these details

Thanks, Alan - I’ve booked as well - it’s a great location for a growing event[:)] 924 Turbo 1980 SVM 123W

Been on the site to book but there is nowhere to enter the reduced price code and the cost is £11! for post 1988 cars. It takes you straight to the visa section. Am I missing something?

Tried again but it looks like its only pre 1988 cars at £5.50 post ones being £11 so the info on the PCGB web site is incorrect or not stating the correct price for post 1988 cars. There is nowhere to enter a reduced rate code or your regional details! Been through it all except the payment and there's nothing! Is there a different web site? Can someone clarify what the correct prices are for PCGB members for post 1988 cars?? Either that or I need booking into the funny farm, I'm old but not that old!

Bicester Heritage site does actually state that "historic vehicles, motorbikes and sports cars will be offered a discount price of £5.00" (but neglects to mention the booking fee). This could be interepreted as all "sports cars" (and your car would appear to qualify) of any age would get a discount. However, the BH website is obviously misleading. When actually booking the price for post 1988 is £10.00 plus a booking fee of £1.00. It does seem that post '88 vehicles may not be parked in the display area but I may have misunderstood this. Unless of course all Porsche 2 seater and 2 plus 2s are intended to be booked as pre 1988 vehicles. In my case I secured entrance for £5.00 plus 50p for booking and had the opportunity to state the club and region I belong to. My vehicle is a 1970 Porsche 911. I believe that the Porsche Club GB site cannot be held responsible for the actual booking cost and vehicle qualification especially as the terms seem to have changed for the next event. It should also be noted that the first four Brunch events were free and Porsches of all vintages gained entry as they were regarded as 'classic' cars. The events have been very popular indeed and so the owners of BH clearly now see a revenue opportunity. This is understanable as BH is a privately owned, commercial enterprise. However, it is an interesting historical site (saved from housing development) and at the last of the 2014 events there were hundreds of classic and vintage cars with many that you will rarely get a chance to see and get close up to. If past events are anything to go by then it is still worth the entry fee with or without a discount however annoying the booking terms. I realise that none of the above actually helps you. Regards, Kirk

The definitive answer confirmed by Bicester Heritage, is that ALL 2 and 2+2 Porsches sports cars of any age qualify for the 'Classic' fee (£5.50) and can park in the dedicated display area. The £10 entry fee applies to non-display models (termed 'modern' by the organisers) ie Cayennes, Panama and Macans and post 1988 other marques. Cayennes, Panama and Macans are more than welcome to attend but will be parked in the general parking area. When booking make sure you enter 'Porsche Club GB' in the car club box. Hope that helps. No real need this time - we have a dedicated area inside, so you’ll be directed to that once you’re there[;)].
