Just to remind everyone that we will be taking part in the 7th Bicester Heritage Sunday Brunch Scramble meet on Sunday 3rd January (08:30 - 14:30). Once again, this popular event is open to the public and classic vehicle owners (their definition of 'Classic' applies to ALL Porsche 2-seater and 2+2 sports of ANY age), who are invited to display their cars in the display areas. Entry for two adults is £6.18 (includes £1.18 online booking fee) but you MUST purchase tickets in advance in advance in order to be admitted to the display area or as a visitor to the other parking areas!

There will be a wide range of cars, motorcycles and aeroplanes on display. More information and ticket details can be found on the R31 Events area.

If you've not been before, Bicester Heritage is located at the old RAF Bicester base on the North side of the town (view location on Google Maps). For those with Sat Navs you should use the postcode OX26 5HA to find the correct geo-location. When you arrive you will see signs indicating the correct entrance. We will have a designated area for 50 plus cars on the airfield perimeter road.

Many thanks for letting us know Nick. According to the organisers, it's going to be a busy one - they've sold a very large number of tickets already. I understand over 25 Porsche owners are already signed up so we're hoping we'll be able to fill up all of our allocated space (for 50-60 cars) again.

Numbers are building nicely and it looks like it's going to be another good turnout. Long term weather forecast looks good so it may not be as cold as the last one. In any case, we're assured there'll be lots more hot food and drinks available.... [:)]

Booked again for this great event - whats wrong with a little freezing fog and ice !!!!!!!

Just booked...not been before. Are we directed to PCGB parking on arrival?

Looking forward to it...great way to get out of the house after Christmas!

Graham, once you go through the gates you should be directed by the security team to the line of PCGB cars on the airfield perimeter road. We will have our Club flag(s) flying so you should see us there.

Just booked for the 2 of us .... request for DOB a little puzzling as a mandatory part of the booking process ?
Irrespective it sounds a good event
Howard and Lisa

That struck me as a bit odd too Howard. I hope it's because they want to send you a card on your birthday rather than flog your data to a pensions or life assurance company... [;)]

Yes, I was suspicious of that request so gave the date before the day on which I was booking (no 'born yesterday' remarks please!).

I went the other way with 1 Jan 1921, so guess I should expect to receive some calls from companies flogging stairlifts, mobility appliances or incontinence wear sometime soon.

I presumed you lived in a bungalow ,Alan & would only need the incontinence pads-you do know that these days that you can make them yourself if you buy the simple machines from a guy in India!
