Sunday Brunch Scramble - Bicester Heritage - 3rd January

Looks like it's going to be another good turnout with high levels of bookings being reported by the organisers...

Seems like fun so booked to come in our Spyder for our first time. Look forward to seeing you there.

Still a great event - whatever the weather!

Yes despite the weather it was a great turnout. There must have been well over 50 Porsches. The highlight of the day was the excellent sunday lunch at the Carpenters Arms at Fullbrook on the way home !!!!!

Great pics Martin. They show something of the diversity of this highly popular event which, in spite of truly awful weather, still managed to field a display of around 1000 classic, sports, veteran and vintage vehicles. For the record, by the time we left 69 Porsches had turned up and were displayed in our Club area, a surprising number considering the poor weather and time of year. Members attending came principally from R31, R10, R16 and R21 regions but several braved the heavy rain and travelled from much further afield including London, Hampshire and Cambridgeshire. Our display also included an 'honorary' Porsche in the form of a rare and original Volkswagen microbus (pictured by Martin above) that was formerly owned by Porsche AG and used to ferry staff and visitors to, from and around the Zuffenhausen factory.

We'd like to thank everyone who decided that looking at cars and having a good natter in the pouring rain on a cold airfield was more enjoyable than staying at home in the dry and warm.
