SUPER CAR DAY

so what is the deal with insurance, surely ya don't need it for the track day?

Unless it just means you need to prove you have car insurance in general and a driving license!!

TBH this is the norm down south.

I think its Brians way of telling me i may be slightly scared on my first day on track on my own and even more going out in Gordons GT3 RS i think(going from the picture).
First time I went round KH was with Gordon Robertson in my C2S. Better than sex if you know what I mean! It was such a buzz you'll love it. I'm a bit like you and don't like rollercoaster rides and I am even quite a bad passenger (or is it my OH's driving?) but it was really ok. That good I went out the same day with Charles in his RS.

GT3 Gordon might be scary (allegedly) but I was a passenger on a Bimota motorbike. The rider was an ex KH racer. Now that's a different story and I wouldn't advise anyone to do that!!!! Thought I was going to have a stroke and his wife thought I was insane, now I know what she meant!!

See you up there..............unfortunately not 'til about 2pm for me, OH needs a lift to the airport.

Scott will you still be there?? Would still like a wee hurl in your Fezza if it's got any petrol left in it!![8D]

Kim

hi Kim, yes will be there, have a few people looking for a spin on track, but give me a buzz when you get there and i will get you out on track !

Alan, my ins. is with Porsche so I get the track days included. I tried last year to get ins. but couldn't so that's why I changed to Porsche Ins Services when my renewal was due, plus they were cheaper than anyone else & I got RAC cover too.
Kim

Best for ins & track cover TRY A.MANNING im paying ÂŁ680 inc cover include European tracks i.eSpa and all PorscheClub track days and any track organisers who comply with ATDO & the other ones cant remember . Most like Autotrack Goldtrack Easytrack etc are members , most circuits are also members to suit Ins co demands ..... %values and WHATS COVERED you need to ask as there a big diff in cover and remember your signing DICLAIMERS on t/days and it seems thats its a 50/50 on track if you or somebody has an accident even tho its not your fault as a recnt decission by a UK Judge regarding2 cars @Donnington circuit gave a" fix your own car verdict" as they say motorsrort can also be DANGEROUS cu you all @ SUNDAYS SUNNY K?HILL

My insurance has decided to charge me for the day. Only ÂŁ50 so not too bad but I have never had to pay before. They keep changing the goal posts!

It's not a Porsche Club event so I need to stump up!

They cover me no problem for Spa.

See my post in K/H WEATHER..............

Its about the traffic on the Forth Road Bridge, so leave early if you need to cross it.

Kim

Should manage up to spectate ( early) and view with envy the nice fast stuff..
If you don't mind i will pester some of the drivers for the occasional lap for my son and self

Mike

wondered what the mass of smoke pouring off your car coming into the hairpin was. Gimmie a shout if you need a hand changing them yourself.

pic have a look and tell me what ones you want and I'll email you the originals.....

Good one Grieg. Never laughed so much as when Scottie spotted Gordon off at the hairpin and we gave him a toot on the way past! ;O)

You also got my black flag moment. Some lardy Turbo S running wide at the haipin just seem to be too tempting not to take advantage of!

Mike followed me through and got one too! Naughty boys! :O)

Amazing how the 240 bhp CS was all over the back of a 600bhp F40. 1 of 7. worldwide.

Made my day.
