Swissvax Carnauba Wax or Gtechniq Ceramic

Hi,

My new S2 is on it‘s way and I am trying to decide between Swissvax Carnauba Wax applied at the Porsche Centre or Gtechniq Ceramic by a detailer .....
What do you recommend and why?

R

You need to go for Gtechniq every time - it's harder wearing and does a a superb job. The Crystal Serum Light has a 3 year life, whilst CS Ultra lasts for up to 9 years. Most detailers will advise an additional coating of Exo V4 to increase water resistance and protection to the ceramic undercoat.

The detailer my also wish to carry out decontamination/paint correction before applying due to the semi permanent nature of these coatings, but the additional work should be light on a brand new car. Ask your supplying PC not to undertake any valeting as damage has been known to occur during the PDI cleaning process.

BTW if you're considering PPF, this is best applied BEFORE the coatings are applied.

Regards,

Clive

Congratulations Richard, what colour is your C2S going to be?
Here's mine after Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra treatment. It also had PPF factory installed on the front half and there's a Gtechniq product specially designed for that surface too. I've had the last few cars using their products and with a good detailer will bring out the colour and last for years.
