I thought the actual mirror housing is different. It is effectively twisted more to change the angle of the actual housing on the passenger side. If you look closely the mirros are not symmetrical and are at different angles.
The PET illustration (for the 964 at least) shows the mirror housings as distinct only for left and right - there is no variation for LHD or RHD. The only variation in that respect is for the mirror mount itself. The mount is responsible for setting the angle at which the mirror housing sits and that is coupled with the physical location where the mirror is mounted on the door (which are NOT symmetrical).
I can't find any evidence that suggests the housings are different.

They do not do the 911 base.
They are fibreglass
They come without a gasket
They should fit RHD fine (but will get this confirmed as a definate, they wont be much use to us otherwise )
The genuine glass will fit and provide heating.
Shipping should be reasonable especially split amongst the 10 pairs.

If you want non-electric mirrors you can get brand new replicas from Clubautosport for £150 a pair. I wonder if it's possible to transplant the electric mechanism from the flag mirrors into these??
I hope they are not butchered genuine ones.

I saw some Clubautosport ones at Walton Hall a few years ago and cosmetically they looked fine once painted. I'd like to see the fibreglass beforehand though to see what sort of preparation is needed before painting
