Tequipment/Porsche Selection promotion

All, the 997 Register are going to trial a promotion of Tequipment and/or Porsche selection items at a discount. I want your views on what you would want to buy, are we talking Sports Exhaust or Ball-point pen ? Porsche luggage or Car Cover ?

You tell me what you want from the Tequipment 997 and Porsche Selection brochures, and I can arrange the offer. Personally I want the sports exhuast, but what do you want ?

Don't ask about discount or pricing just yet as it will depend on the items etc. But as we normally get 10% it will be more. I can't do a blanket reduction either only one or two items at a time.

Ring 08457 911 911 to get a Tequipment 997 and Porsche Selection brochure, or go to www.porsche.co.uk where it's all on-line.

This is ONLY 997 and ONLY club members.

Post here or pm me - 997@porscheclubgb.com

Sports Exhaust has the most votes so far, closely followed by the child seats and then the cover ! I think sports exhaust will be first, but I've just checked and they're still on back-order. Keep posting and I'll advise as soon as I have something in place..

Can't see much point in the Porsche child seats, they aren't any better than britax etc which are 1/3rd of the cost. centre caps would get my vote as I already have the PSE and the frontcompartment try is unavailable for the C4S!

Ditto the PSE. (My membership is being processed). I have been quoted £1,600 all in incl VAT as a benchmark. Still not sure on deliveries though - expecting a response in about 2 weeks.

Thanks Guys keep them coming. Sport Exhaust is out of stock everywhere at the moment. It is available for all the 997 Carrera models. Centre Caps and Baby seats a very good idea. Will have an offer on one of these by the end of the month.

Hi,
I'm waiting for my membership number to come through. Just bought a 2006 007 C4S.

I would be interested in the sports exhaust, like everyone else!

Hi Rob,

Any idea when this promotion will be begin? I think, since I'm going to have my car till at least March next year, I might go for the PSE as well as a child seat! [:D]

Thanks,
Sunil

Rob, what happened to this?

Am currently finding out prices on retro-fitting the Short Shifter and also how much it would be to do the Powerkit too (X51) from my OPC (given I already now have the PSE retro-fitted).

The Tequipment list for fitted Short Shifter is £395.54 (inc. VAT and fitting). I have asked my OPC today to tell me how much parts would be so I could get 10% discount on PCGB membership. If you can get this cheaper then please let me know.

I have the latest Tequipment Price list for retro-fitting things so anyone have any basic enquiries on official Porsche pricing then let me know.

Regards,

-Alex

Just had numbers confirmed to me by my OPC...

My car cannot be retro-fitted with X51 as it is a June 05 build, and only cars after Aug 05 have this option.

OPC reading will take 10% discount off the 'Short Shifter' parts for PCGB membership. They didn't know how much the parts were though. The Porsche Car configurator quotes the option as being £380, so retro-fitting it for £395.54 seems pretty good value. The Short Shifter is on back-order from Germany right now so there are no dates when it will come in.

Does anyone know the exact price of the Short Shifter parts?

Thanks

Rob

Has there been any progress on the Tequipment promotion? I have just had a letter from my OPC offering a sports exhaust fully fitted for 1580 and am tempted .

Any information would be appreciated

thanks

The Tequipment price list says this is what it should be normally (with sports chrono):

Price Incl VAT Notes
Parts £1,020.37 £1,198.93
Labor £326.70 £383.88 3.3 hours
TOTAL £1,347.07 £1,582.81

This is what it should be though with an PCGB 10% discount on the parts:

Price Incl VAT Notes
Parts £918.33 £1,079.04
Labor £326.70 £383.88 3.3 hours
TOTAL £1,245.04 £1,462.92

So if there is an additional Tequipment promotion ontop of this it should be lower than £1460.

thanks Alex. Do you know by any chance if all OPCs give the porsche club discount?

I don't, but OPC Reading has agreed to, so thats about an hour's drive for you if you feel like visiting the Porsche HQ and seeing some Carrera GTs/959s/Turbos/GT3s etc....

OPC West London in Chiswick should do too though as they are part of the same company as OPC Reading.

Good luck! [:D]
