THAMES VALLEY REGIONAL CONCOURS

...And breathe out. After a couple of weeks on tenterhooks I am able to confirm that the Royal Berkshire's grounds are an eminently suitable place for our regional concouours based on expert opinion. I viewed the venue today with a person who has been successful in organising evnts in the past, and I am told that it has a good "feel to it". I will be extending the customary invitation the 964 register as I have been reminded register memebrs seemed keen to attend
There are four classes, early and late air cooled (pre/post 1979/80) water cooled all years and visitors. There will be a fifth category, that of competitors favourite, but it an absolute award with no runner up places, voted on by the competitors. For the benefit of later entrants or readers of this forum, I will reiterate these datails; competitors or spectators can arrive from 8.30, but please have consideration for the hotel residents that early in the morning. We would like all entrants to register by 10:00 am with a view to beginning judging by 10:30

HOUSEKEEPING BIT:
As part of my risk assessment for the event, let me make it perfectly clear early on that one of controls will be the introduction of a blanket speed limit likely to be between 5 and 10 mph, i.e around about walking pace but favouring the former, due to the proximity, and conflicting paths, of pedestrains and motor vehicles.
However frustrating it may be, common sense says that further controls will include pedestrains having the right of way over motor vehicles. Expect exclusion from the event if there is a failure to observe these guide lines.
Attending the event will most likely imply tacit acceptance to and agreement with these guides ( but I will have to check up with the legal gurus to see if that is permissable) as there is no resonably practical way of obtaining agreement beforehand, or on the day without creating a further hazard by queueing traffic along the London Road

So all we need now is a few more entries.

Is this still on the 24th June ??

I am sure that another meet was on that day in Nottingham ??

Tipecs Annual Biggie ?
