The boy done good

If I understand the question, to pay actually £12,500, for a 944 is a bit of a record in 2007, but the car is just coming to the end of its 6000 mile service interval, at 30,000 miles, and no I have not missed a one off. Factor in the cabriolet and the fact that it a turbo cab, one of 78 in right hand drive it is a bit of an exclusive group. There is (was) another turbo cab in white, in the Auto Trader with 23,000 miles, up for £13,495. Drives like new is an understatement.

Mmm, I wonder whether this is fellow nottinghamshire 911 lover Rich S's immaculate cab?[;)]

He just sold a supersport to a PCGB prospective member and bought a 3.2 carrera targa.

That 944 is absolutely mint, btw.

Best regards,

Bert

I think we may be talking at crossed purposes. I refer to my own 944 turbo cab and one other similar 944 in the Auto Trader. For the benefit of Mr I, I have never wanted or indeed do I ever intend to sample the "delight" of 911 ownership. Yes thank you very much but I do know what I am missing, mostly a barrel load of grief in the price range I can aspire to.

Oooohh well, my 932 gives me plenty of grief whilst the 911 only gives grief if I caused it [8|]

I have to say, the slow appreciation of the 911 sweetens things up from an accountancy perspective, but the rocket appreciation of the 932's is amazing: A 100% hike every time I fill her up![:D]

Best regards,

Bert

Well I wouldn't say that, but sploshing in 80 odd litres of Merco leaded 99 octane at 1.40 per litre makes a tankful about £100, but then with the run to Beaulieu and out of peak running to work I got over 400 miles out of the last tankful. By the way did you see the article about 924s in 911 and Porsche World? The red turbo is my daily driver.

Yes, I did. And a very nice car it is indeed...

(There was a moment I wondered whether it was mr I's car [8D][;)], but pfew....only a moment!!! )

I just checked to see whether it could be the same gleaming car in the Brian Laban's book "The complete porsche" but that has registration 924BAD.

That's also a PCGB car, isn't it?

ATB,

Bert
