my other car is a diesel and I big to differ. Less C02 definitely (my 3.0d is at about the 200 mark), and while they used to be an environmental disaster, these days they don't chuck out much more crap than a petrol, which also chucks out more harmful stuff than C02. With the most recent stage of Euro regulations about to be mandatory, particle emmissions will reduce even further. Added to this vastly better fuel economy than the equivalent petrol and it has to make sense for normal driving.
