Looking thru his stock it does appear Tom's sold a few cars recently...
I wouldn't be surprised if some of his stock is SOR - some of the cars may not have sold and have simply returned to their owners?

This was asking £100k last time I heard... clearly low mileage etc... but could this be a landmark for a "boggo" RS? ;-)
Des will be shouting "I told u so" from the rooftops...
Well it's now SOLD APPARENTLY ...... 964RS Prices are getting on equal terms to the 993RS .... 964RS prices still a long way to go and can see no reason they will not end up just shy of 2.7RS prices..... TOLD YOU SO!
This will fuel the replica recreation market similar to the 2.7RS market .......
I'm sure it will gain credability as the first of resurgence, and for its purity, but not sure it will carry the same mark of respect. IMHO. Tell me I'm wrong?
Not that I'm talking prices down you understand!

Let's just look at driver involvement and feel, that's what woke people up to the 2.7RS NOT it's looks, although the ducktail was cute. Similarly the drive of the 964RS just sucks you in, and as more and more drive them and even downsize from the kettles, word gets round and peolpe want them for the drive, which attarcts a tail market of investors and speculators and also creates rarity in the market and drives prices up. But this ALL starts from the desire to drive them, so drivers led market followed by the investors etc, which unfortunately leads to little availability wich leads to prices going up. Supply and demand, how the 2.7RS became popular was it's drive same 964RS .... simples[]
Agreed, and as the driving experience of the modern cars looses the purity and is more and more dominated by electronics, the desire to drive the "old school real thing" will come to all followers of the Leichtbau philosophy.
BTW, the "old school real thing" is still quick enough....

Rising prices are a good thing though especially in todays climate.
But lets be realistic and not forget....

So what would an "all original panels" LHD 964RS be worth with 60,000 km on the clock?
Good ones are offered for 75k EURO over here, perfect low milers 80-100k EURO.

Could I turn down £101k? What would I buy to replace it? What IS there to replace it? []

I'm doing a Thomas - mine is for sale at £101k (a new record). [8|] His cars eventually sell. Ridiculous price today but like Thomas - I'll wait until the market catches up with what Des knew all along. []

No [] - once I've made it 'RS America' spec. Rarer and more desirable.
