All safely back, nobody stopped by les flics although mindful of Fred's advice, we strictly obeyed all speed limits on the way back to the ferry (unless we were really sure nobody was watching). []
Top marks to co-driver Jamie and the legend that is Jeremy Heney, we would like to think that we served R18 proudly. All set for 2014.
To see, hear, touch and smell so many iconic cars was unbelievable, from historic Bentleys to racing Porsches, 924s to Carrera GTs and a few Ferraris too (like 25 of the 39 250 GTOs ever made...)
Spyder managed 1107 miles at an average of 50mph and 29.0mpg. The fuel economy was remarkable considering the "progress" that we made on smooth deserted French back roads.
