Things to remember when I pick up my new car....?

Fingers crossed it is just 2 weeks until my car arrives and the wait is killing me.
Although it's not my first new car, it is my first new Porsche, and I'm worried that in all the excitement I'll forget to do something obvious:
So far on my list 've got:

Sort out cash in plenty of time!
Thorough check that all chosen options are in place
Thorough check of interior and exterior for marks and scratches
Make sure I get the appropriate key ring, umbrella freebies etc
Make sure all paperwork is included with the car
Make sure the PDI has been done properly
Anything else?
Thanks

Remember to take a camera for a picture of it in the showroom [:)]

anything additional they have promised is written down..

Get the day off work!
Think about an itinerary for a good first drive to get acquainted.
PCGB sticker for the windscreen.
Arrange for a lift to OPC.
Cool shades in case it is sunny.

Don't forget to ask the sales man where the spare tyre is? And also the dipstick? - this completely flumexed the guy at my handover - [:D]

Just a thought, I am collecting my new C4S Cab next Wednesday and have asked the OPC at Bournemouth for a lift to the showroom (this will be the second time I have done this) they have duly obliged. In one hand I am grateful for the lift and in the other I think after spending well over 80K it the least that they can do. Did you chaps ask an OPC for a lift and if so what was their reaction??

I've needed sleeping pills for the last 2 months !!
Thanks for all the comments, very helpful.
So the dealer won't think I'm a weirdo if i have a camera with me?? (even if my wife will !!)
Who else is expecting a C4S in March ?

I can't remember if I posted this somewhere else, so sorry if I repeat myself..

whilst you are dealing with the paperwork, get you wife to go and look around the car, they seem not to wear rose tinted glasses when it comes to the car [;)], they can then spend time looking over the car without a salesman breathing down their neck.
or you could go and look over the car prior to introducing yourself to reception.
My wife spotted a small dent prior to collection, it was sorted out perfectly, but I'm sure if I had driven the car away from the OPC it may have been a different story

Simon, a lot of us take pictures at the OPC - just look at the avatars we put up.

The idea of asking someone else (preferably a wife) to look round the car is an excellent one.

My wife is extremely fussy (no idea how she puts up with me!!), so if anyone will spot any slight blemishes it will be her !

Maybe I could loan her out to look over new cars for other members, and I could save the money earned for the next Porsche?!

Agree that this your opportunity to really look at the bodywork in ideal lighting conditions for any flaws. I also noticed a dink in the door of my Cayenne in the showroom, but no problem to have fixed later by the 'dentmaster'.

Check you have specced the number plates you asked for. I wanted the ones with GB in the corner and they had fitted the plain jane ones to the C2S. New ones were made up on the spot and swapped in a matter of minutes.

Enjoy!

I've just had a call from my dealership - my car is now with them being prepared, and I can pick it up on Saturday

Yippeeee!!!

PS - are there any pictures as to the different choices of nuumber plate? It hasn't beeen mentioned by my dealer.....
