I doubt the log book would have arrived in time to get my own made up, now that we need all the paperwork to get them made.

Are we going to see you showing off the new arrival at an event in the near future?
I'm not really the 'showing off' type...............

Sorry for the delay in responding!!
Yes, I have been out enjoying my new car, but also my home PC has died and won't be fixed until Thursday, meaning that until then I can only access the forum from work. I've also lost my digital camera so the only pictures I have were taken with my camera phone, so aren't of very good quality. We moved house recently, so I'm sure when we unpack the final few boxes the camera will turn up, and then I can post some proper pictures!
The car is simply unbelievable - even with the current 4,000rpm rev limit recommended by the dealer, the pick up is noticeably stronger than my M3, and I've no doubt I'll be blown away once I can make use of all the power at the top end!!
The Sports shifter is a delight, and even though the car has barely 100 miles on the clock, and the weather is cold, I haven't found it to difficult to select 1st or 2nd gear.
The Adaptive Sports Seats are extremely comfortable, and I've found the Sat Nav/PCM to be much better than expected - My boss 'instructed' me to bring the car into the City this morning, and the navigation did a good job of getting me here in a pretty direct route - certainly much better than I'd have done myself!
I'm really pleased with the colour - Atlas Grey - which may be boring to some, but to my mind really suits the shape of the car, and varies between Black, Grey, Dark Blue etc, depending on the ambient light.
One thing that did concern me was the width of the car, particularly with the rear ebing wider than the front, but so far (fingers crossed) I've had no problems, and the steering is so direct it's very easy to place the car on the road.
I'm delivering my old M3 to its new owner in Bognor on Thursday, so will get another chance to enjoy the car on some open, traffic free roads on the return journey (on the way there, I'm driving my M3, and my wife will be driving the C4S, which will make the journey somewhat scarey for me!!)
Will provide some pictures in due course!!
Cheers for all your help up 'till now !

The car has lived up to all my expectations, early days I know. Just need a sofa in the garage, fridge with a beers in so that I can sit and just look at it.
Any ideas on a good car cover whilst in the garage and battery conditioner
I am hooked
Roger
Congratulations - the car sounds great!
There have been loads of posts about Battery Conditioners on the various forum areas - a search on those words should provide a wealth of information []
One hint you might want to consider for the future - don't put the car away after washing it without taking for a short run to get the brakes warmed through. Not unless you want to be replacing the discs due to corrosion...[]

I picked up my new C2S CAB in Balsalt Black on Friday, Dealer was excellent, there was one clitch with the keys not working when locking / un locking the car however this has solved itself over the weekend. This is my first Porsche and it is brilliant in every way. I collected on Friday about 5pm and put it straight in the garage with all the salt and grit on the roads I couldn't bare to use it. Saturday morning still loads of salt and horrible stuff but could not resist and took it for 110 miles, top down, heated seats on "Sports Exhaust ON" The first thing on your options list should be Sports Exhaust before carpets, radio etc it is a must. Black not the best colour in Winter, however gave it a good clean and have hopefully removed all the last traces of salt and it is tucked away in the garage until the weekend.

My only criticism of the 997S is the lack of noise., even with the top down, at least until u get > 5,000 rpm. My first 911 was 1989 3.2 carrera, and it sounded wonderful. Am thinking of having a sports exhaust fitted. From what u say it's well worth it.
By the way, excellent plan for the garage!

I kerbed it within the first hour and put a scratch on the rear wing within the week. However, it is quite the most beautiful thing (prettier even than my 996 C4S), sounds gorgeous (sports exhaust) and I love it.
Enjoy!

I was thinking the same thing last night, the 997 must surely be the best looking 911 ever, will it be possible to improve on it next time round ? It looks so modern and yet so classic at the same time.
Fabulous.

One solution to the lack of noise is to keep it above 5,000 revs [][]
