Thanks Mark I'll keep you all posted - the first shot has now been fired !!! [:D]

I hope it wasn't too low below the water line []

Well I guess that depends on your thoughts on price ? haha.

I'll be honest boys I'm looking for some guidance as I think we may have settled on a price. I'm at the 'panic point' right now []

It's do or die. I'm fairly sure it's not a lemon as my knowledge of cars is good, and I've spoken to the tech who did the clutch and got his honest opinion as mentioned above.

What do I do ? I'm at a fork in the road, one side leads to 964 ownership and the other to safety ! haha

Thanks guys

Mike

PS - I will disclose prospective purchase price via PM if anyone needs to know before they post their thoughts.

i have an old tom-cat who wakes me up most mornings about 30mins before my alarm goes off, climbs the curtains, and attacks me like kato from the peter sellers film "the pink panther"..

he's much like my 964, and everytime either of them makes a mess on the carpet or tries to hump a guests leg I take one look and think, how can I not forgive a face like that

..if the price is right, do it!!

ben

PS.. thats not my car; same same but different..

You've made me chuckle Ben, thank you. I'm all serious here contemplating parting with lots of cold hard cash, but you've lightened the moment briefly [:)]

Cheers

Having looked at the PH ad a few times I personally think the price he/she wants (£14,500) is a fair one. I'd be looking for £500 off for my own satisfaction. All IMHO of course [:)]

Asking prices for early RHD C4s with that sort of mileage seem to range from about £12,000 upwards, so allowing for condition, I would be looking to start the bidding around that sort of level, depending on how keen I was.

Assess how long it's been for sale and how desperate he/she is to sell, are there any other interested parties etc.
