Throttle stuck open

I am off to EMC on Saturday. I have to say Kevin came across as a top bloke on the phone, had a really good chat with him. Who are these ppl saying negative things about him? Something tells me my wallet could be taking a severe battering but what we discussed after weighing it all up could be a bit of a bargain.

People have been saying negative things about him?! Who?? The man is a top bloke - both him and his son Alex really know their stuff and don't try and sell you bits that you don't absolutely need! I was talked out of getting an exhaust & air intake upgrade because I don't really need it to have fun and go fast on track! That's a few hundred quid saved by the guys who would've made that money!

Top blokes, top outfit, can't recommended them highly enough. When are you gonna be there? I aim to be at EMC at around 10am on Saturday, so might see you then!

Unsurprisingly in the motor trade there will always be an amount of "ooh you dont want to take it there...." There's not much of it in the Porsche world ( that I have exerienced) but jeeez you want to try and get a workshop recommendation in the Caterham world!!!

But there have been some things said in the past about EMC, but as I said there will be someone who has a bad thing to say about someone... I had a potentially life threatening result with one of the south easts most "highly respected" Porsche indies but you learn by your mistakes and you move on.
I've been using EMC in bham for the best part of 4 years, I found them by accident whilst looking for a cage for my S2, It took me the best part of a month to convince Kevin to sell me the cage and another week to get him to fit it... I havent looked back since, They did the engine an and all the other prep on my S2 track car, they did the track prep on my brothers 968CS, they've built my 968CS from the bare shell upwards, and they look after the 924GT Clone as well.
They have been nothing but straight up with me from day one, I trust the work that they do immplicitly, if I didnt I wouldnt have raced with them in PCGB Open and the Britcar24 and I wouldnt have asked them to build me a trackcar, I wont have anyone else do any work on my track cars.

Oh and because the workshop is full I cant drop the 924 off as planned so I'll be there on Saturday morning with that as well....

So a mini-meet at EMC on Saturday morning then! [:)]

First impressions count way more than they should, and my first impressions were really good with Kevin and Alex - I have no doubt I'll have a fast, well-sorted S2 for the 2009 track day "season"!

Will be great to put names to faces, looks like Kevin will be busy Saturday morning. I would like to get there for 10 but I suspect maybe more like 11.

BTW I also trust John Mitchell and my brother, I have used a few other garages that are very good but typically they might lack specific experience in a particular car or as an example racing that particular car. Experience is everything.

Lali if the indie you are talking about used to have adverts featuring chillis and had a Z in the name then I had the same experience.

Neil,
I suspect that as with most of, no in fact every visit I have ever made to EMC I'll be there for a lot longer than i planned to be and will get grief for it when I get home so I'll be there for most if not all of the morning

So I'll see you guys on Saturday.
