...almost. It's subject to a PPI next weekend so not a done deal yet. Here though is what I believe to be "the one".

Exactly.

In fact I think that is a direct quote from the Bible (well the one written by Corky Bell).

No such thing as a 965..............

Really? You'd better not tell Ninemiester as they seem to have a lot of 965 spare parts.

You'll be telling us there is no such thing as a 951 next.

Not counting ones chickens but it looks like an exciting bit of kit Mr Coull.

Oooh, shiny! Nice one Fen [:D]

Question is, how long before you start the modifications... [;)]

Erm, it's already running a decat, G-pipe and 1 bar boost spring [;)]

Cheers chaps, all it took was to convince SWMBO I can afford it. Hopefully I can convince myself of that last point sometime as well [&:]

Red isn't may favourite colour to be honest, but I have convinced myself the Turbo 2 shape suits the colour; in your face car, in your face paint.

It looks a beaut and all the better for being red, but will the extra expense hit your 944 project adversly?

In a word, yes. The extra cost will have to be absorbed by delaying the 944 project. I don't know for how long, at least 2 or 3 months would be my guess.

Not wishing to get involved but ... there is no such thing as a 965 (in official Porsche model type number lingo). The 964 Turbo is exactly that ... the 964 Turbo or just Turbo 2.

BTW lovely car Fen. Red really suits the car. My fave 964 colours are Guards Red and Grand Prix White.

Ian.

Not wishing to perpetuate/join an argument, some part numbers specific to the 964 Turbo start with 965. Regardless of official or not we all know what is meant by 965, just like we do with 944 Lux which I believe Porsche never officially used. Plus this forum is for the 944 although almost ever member has either a 945 or a 952!

Wheel in front of the passenger indeed. I have told myself this is how the car was intended, hence it will be better so yes, purist approach. That and the fact I can't afford one with the wheel on the other side quite yet and the way my budget is spiralling out of control if I were to wait until I could I'd probably have myself sold on a Carrera GT.

3.8 rear wing? I'd hate to destroy the subtlety of the existing looks [&:]. I wasn't looking them up yesterday myself to see how much they are, oh no...
