Time for a new warranty?

Jamie, my carpets were sodden underneath the doors on both sides. The car spent a lot of time outside during the previous winters, which is when the problem showed up (wet leg!!). After stripping the doors down, the OPC identified the problem as being caused by faulty door membranes. These were both replaced under the extended warranty. No problems since.

Cheers Alan,
yes it appears the membrane has failed on my door - to replace £400 (wear and tear item!!) i dont think so. I refused to budge on paying for something i considered to be a defective part. Anyway I called customer service GB who said they also consider the item defective, and a warranty claim is valid!! The job has been resolved. Thanks again to the forum and articles! As for the OPC how many items do they charge unlucky customers for!?....

Sounds like you got a good result in the end Jamie.

Bit disappointing that you had to ring up customer service to get it though!

Hi Rob!,
yes cheers bud, they were convinced when i picked the car up that it should not of been claimed under warranty, how ever they showed me the panel and said the seal was missing on a part of it and must of been like it from manufacture!!??? hello,, then its a warranty issue; lol, anyway as they say a wins a win... had a nice boxster PDK for a few days which was a great drive; rapid accelaration, can see why you love the B road Spyder missions!!! [:)]
