Neil, Thanks for highlighting some interesting thoughts. I've got about 6 weeks to sell the car, so have priced it accordingly i.e. I can always come down, but can never go up!!! A little more info on me... I came into some compensation money a couple of years ago after getting injured in Afghanistan and managed to convince my wife to let buy buy a 911 Turbo rather than pay off some of the mortgage!!! I went for the newest 996 variant (2004), but she was still a few years old, so I have pretty much replaced all the parts that start to creak or fail through wear and tear. I live in Hampshire, but drive to WrighTune in Wallingford to have it serviced and any work done. Tony who runs the garage is an independent Porsche specialist and is absolutely superb. He was recommended to me by Richard Hamilton, who used to use him when he had a 996TT. Whilst I was in rehabilitation and recovering from my Afghan injuries, I started to set up my own business building custom carbon bicycles; I used to race for the Navy and Marines. I officially launched the business in August last year and things are going well. Up until now I have hired a van each time I need to travel anywhere with my equipment and bikes, however that is no longer practical or financially sensible. I am therefore selling the Porsche in order to put the money into the business and then buy a van through the business. If somebody had said to me a few years ago that I'd sell a 911 Turbo in order to buy a van, I'd tell them there were crazy, however priorities change. Since I was 10 I have dreamt of owning a 911 Turbo and I have no doubt that I'll aim to own one again in the future...
