Top Gear Exhaust?

Paul, you really shouldn't prop your car up on tins of paint. Particularly not those big plastic ones. They just aren't strong enough.

Chatting to John at Tower Porsche, he said that Dansk are OEM suppliers to Porsche, so it's a stainless version of the OEM mild steel one...

The OEM mild steel one was stainless

(Thanks for the update on Pete Paul)

Fen, I wouldn't say this is "customising" the exhaust system! It will look nicer and perhaps sound a little nicer, I'm not into some loud boy racer spec system, I like it to look original but a little special and I think the one thing that lets down all original 944's is their sound, the exhaust note is a little bland don't you think?

I meant the Top Gear or Longlife style, not an aftermarket one that has (hopefully at least) had a bit more knowledge used at the design stage.

Here's a couple that I took when I installed it: (Aug 2004 according to the date of picture). I can't see any seam that you might be referring to, let me know if you need a different angle

Cheers Paul, I think I will try one.

Do you still have a front box installed?

Do you still have a front box installed?

No, the front box was cut out and replaced with a straight pipe a couple of years ago just after the rebuild. It's still pretty quiet compared to most aftermarket exhaust systems
