"It looks like a Kangaroo..."

(Just what was he on? [&:])

Absolutely spot on....bit like editing a good movie of all the sex and bad violence. The Cayman could have been the best Porsche of all.

....and JC knows it

I'll second that.....

....didn't he say something about me being hung like a horse?

That was a fair gallop you had going on the A33 on Saturday lunchtime, I'll say that much! I tried to tail you for a bit in the Pug, but you were several furlongs ahead before long. Nice to see your car being exercised properly!

Hi Buddy,

I thought it was you. I was trying to convince you to get the 968 back by racing you home.[;)]

I've just fitted these special tyres that burn off red smoke when you pull away and they weren't working when i was racing you[:D]
Si

Who needs a 968? I had you on that roundabout! OK, so I chose a good lane. I just wanted to get in your way so I could hear you power by! I enjoyed your creative interpretation of the amber/red sequence just before that too! [:D] As soon as second hand values calm down, I'll be back with the Penrose Pork Posse, I'm sure.

He said it looked all disproportionate and that the back didn't suit the front and it was severely lacking in some areas etc and then he realised he was looking at himself in the mirror[:-]

I think maybe some people are looking at this slightly the wrong way?? from jc's point of view he's got to come up with some "bad" points on every car, and even with his evident dislike of Porsche the best he could come up with was "it's not as good as it could have been" there are alot of car manufacturers out there who would have loved that reveiw on there machines. also as regard to buying a cayman or boxter becuase you can't afford a 911? I think that probably tells us more about jc more than true porsche enthusiasts ie hes a complete snob! I bought my 996 simply becuase it has 4 seats, I would have been just as happy with a boxtser.. There will always be an element of people who think that people who think that if you drive a boxster you only do so becuase you can't afford a 911, but in my experience they are normally people who have never owned a porsche.

Ant.

P.S. just as an addition, even if the only reason you bought you boxster was becuase you can't afford a 911. SO WHAT!!! we can't all be the richest in the world!! personally I have never been happier with a car than i was with my first 944.

Well said 968ant!
All porsches are special - from a 924 to 911 turbo. I have never forgotten that special moment when I bought my own first porsche ( a 2.5 944) and have continued to enjoy them since.
On a personal note I think the Boxster is a more delicate and sweeter balanced car from a handling point of view, but ultimately I was seduced by the extra power of the 997S, plus it was just time for a change! That does not mean that the 911 is necessarily the better car, just that it has different characteristics, and as any fule kno, we all have different tastes, so each to his own.[;)]
I always try to acknowledge all other Porsche drivers, regardless of what they are steering, as let's face it, the choice of our wheels shows we have superior taste amongst out motoring peers![:D]
