I know that Porsche used to supply one. Not sure if they still do. I'm not sure that it would be of the removable type though.

You don't want to tow a caravan with it do you? [:'(]

There was a tow bar for the 944, though whether you can still get it remains to be seen. I think you will have to put up with a non stealth fitment if you find one as they hadn't invented removable swan neck balls when they designed the 944.

Those that know about these sort of things suggest that the 944 would make a good tow car with plenty of torque and a fair amount of weight.

Don't be dissin the man Fen 'cos 'is wheels may be well sick inni.

An as a fair workin electrician plumbing farmer he's gonna be well up there with his sounds.

Jus 'cos your ride may be bitchin' don't give you no right to be talkin down to the other punters. Now get with the program or me an my possy is gonna be commin round your crib.

Respect.

I must say that all this colloquial talk has rather given me a head ache.

I am given to wonder what field of agriculture requires the operative to be conversant in the art of welding. One can only hope that it isn't stock rearing. I am assuming it must relate to GM crops.

I will certainly pay more attention to food labels in future.

The odd thing is I understand John much easier when he talks like this [:D]

Now play nice or I'll post that picture of the Bennetton car towing a multicoloured caravan

I was so tempted to say that I think it is at the back and has a large hook thing on it...but that would just be silly.

I found the following in PET - it is part number 944 722 901 00

Hi Steve - I rarely get called young man by any one less than about 80!

Not sure if these pics show what you're looking for!

My car has the remains of a towbar and electrics but those remains dont seem to equate with the towbar as shown in the PET and looking at the PET, I can see no reason to cut the diffuser as mine is!

Thanks Mike

that is useful, based on that would be happy to fit a towbar to mine. My 44 is my daily driver since my XC70 decided to eat its bottom end. It does all I could wish for except tow. So time to rectify that and will have my perfect means of transport, fun and haulage vehicle all rolled into one.

What more could a man ask for[;)]

No idea if anything has been replaced (bumper etc) but the PET drawing looks like it would fit under the bumper and guessing over the diffuser, would make a mess of a toast rack!

I can confirm that a good section of a toast rack has to be removed to facilitate a towbar.

Mine previously had one and the bracket etc are still there and as I have the toast rack off at the minute I can post up a picture tomorrow of exactly how much needs removed and the postion etc [;)]
