On my GT3 I've been advised to run 34/34 hot on the Toyos, I think 37/40 is way too hot.

Toyo R888 - Advice on pressures please!

Hi Rodney,
Contrary to most track day pit lane lore, running higher pressures generally results in lower tread pressures - ie running 32/34 front 38 rear will keep your tyres cooler than the temps you are running (see the advice above from Toyo). But it's ll about how you like the feel of a particular set up, and your geo - mine runs best for me at higher pressures, but if they go over 40 after a hot run I can feel the back loosen up under braking - and don't like it!
Are you going to Goodwood weekend after next - brilliant track for GT3s?
Cheers
Mark

I have done quite a few sets on R888s now and have always run them 32-39 hot. I start at 28 - 35. Then do about 3 laps, come in, let them down to 30-37. Do about another 3 laps - let them down to 32-39. Then go out again prperly. At the end of theat session they will be at full temp, so let them down again to 32 -39. Chek again in the afternoon. Sometimes have to let 1 psi out or so.
This seems to work and I have been wearing the tyres out pretty evenly. Running 18s on the GT3 btw.
