Track Car Colour / Colours - Opinions Sought

DVM!!!
Please do a build thread with lots to read and pics!!!!I love the colour it looks great!!!!!!!!!

No you haven't missed any build thread on your Ex.
Dave is a friend/neighbour, I was just responding to Simon's option of painting the car knowing Dave had done his "Viper Green".
But your right, once its finished it will be something special.

BRG with a yellow stripe. Painted a 906 slot car with those colours once, and it looked great. Sadly it was written off when it got trodden on.

Oi!

Had a bit more of a think, use the same orange but with matt very dark grey wheels and roof - much cooler than black.

Has anyone suggested a barf-tacular harlequin scheme yet? Makes repairing damage dead easy!

I have a RS/RSR book at home. In '73 Porsche painted one of its Carrera 2.7's in safety orange, far more dayglow than Blood Orange.

This is the kind of Martini look I was referring to:

Forget the huge rear wing though [:D]

I will have a proper look at the safety colours. Martini is more of a vinyl graphic addition to a white, or silver, car (as would be 'Boss' or other such styles).

Im wondering about Rubystone again too; although the paint will be dearer, of course.....

How about Lilac 6969 code 341 as seen on Jay Kay's RS?

Still keeps that Maritime Blue/Purple theme. Only 16 '73 RS's painted in Lilac
