Track Day Insurance

ORIGINAL: RussGarlick

I am insured with porsche /marsh / aviva.and am looking to do a trackday in september but i cannot find any mention in my paperwork about haveing two free trackdays cover , although i do recall the sales consultant mention it to me when i took out the policy two and a half years ago , should these be included in my policy ?
----

Yes 2 included - they will want to know who is organising --contact marsh so they can issue a cover note for the day - excess 10% of vehicle value

Already mentioned above try Manninguk.com

My insurance this year is about £350 including unlimited track days with and excess for the track days of £1500 or 10%.

Try insuremytrackday.com, mine was £122 for a gen 1 Cayman S at Goodwood (which IMHO is a "riskier" track than Silverstone when it come to what happens if you have an "off"!)

That's sound advice because my current policy expires in September. I did ask Adrian Flux about this but they said that this type of policy was not offered anymore.

Try Manning or if you don’t do many miles Locktons. Classic line might also be worth asking.

Stand alone try reis.co.uk

So Locktons are the PGB partner , I only cover about 6000 miles a year if that. Mannings of Oxfordshire? Thanks for the information, hopefully I can sort something out prior to my track day, thanks buddy.

+1 for both Mannings and ClassicLine Stephen. Currently I'm with ClassicLine but previously was with Mannings. Both are good and offer track day cover, as do Locktons, but I've not yet received a competitive quote from them, although some have.

Many thanks , this is all good news for me [:)]
The next question will be to glove or not to glove . Never had an issue with the 924 , so it's probably going to be no gloves .

I cover my GT4 through Mannings, 6000 miles, cannot remember the exact amount but around £600.
You will have an excess of 10% of cars value which is standard.
They are good, I have been with them for 8 years, I usually get a comparison from Classicline to ensure the quote is competitive.
As suggested give them a try along with Classicline.

Hi, thanks for all the help.
Mannings £700 ish
Classicline £600 ish
Similar cover but classicline won't allow cover for the Nuremberg ring with 6 tracks days, any PGB track days are free.
Mannings it's unlimited with a £250 charge for Europe tracks .
Locktons , nobody has called me back

I have received a rather competitive quote which I have gone with through Locktons.
£539 , cover similar to the others through AXA . All PCGB track days in the UK covered but nothing else. I am only planning on PCGB days so I thought the extra for the other policies were not worth the cost. Thanks everyone for your help.

Can you share your annual mileage and excess + any other parameters you might care to share. I have understood mileage was a big factor for Locktons

Thanks. I pay £650 new GT4 10k miles pa with unlimited track days at Mannings so maybe Locktons are getting more competitive.

ManningUK … 981 GT4 - 8k pa - £500 excess - £60 Windscreen excess - £565

Was told … unlimited trackdays with no prior notification but having just checked the providers (KGM Motor) paperwork … there are significant discrepancies !

Call to ManningUK Monday … !!!
