Track day or garage

Another car lost ???

Spent a fantastic day in Powys around the Brecon Beacons today, best way to appreciate these cars is to drive them and enjoy.

We should have an RS weekend there sometime, happy to sort out of you guys are interested.

Well I'll be *$/@*#.....

You could always spend the money saved on a new handbag Des...

I'm shaking my head in disbelief[&:]

All the grief and agrovation you've caused me....I'm stunned...

You are joking aren't you?

[8|] This has got to be a wind-up, its not the real Des posting . Real RSs are meant to go on the track , even Domsters virtual reality RS would rather be on the track than in cyberspace.
Melv ,now that you are back with us.....can you confirm that Des has not been assimilated by some alien bodysnatchers ....that last post had no capitals or exclamation marks or mention of LEICHTBAU!!!!

I was having a reflective moment while polishing the beautiful and virginal GP White bodywork.....it was as if a voice from the heavens spoke to me in a spiritual moment:

"Young Dessie for it is now time to hang up your gloves and boots and donate your helmet to the Steve Kevlin cardboard box, for you have not mastered the LEICTHBAU and a strange moment may await you at Clarke Curve."

Suddenly there was this vision of deja vu, while gently pushing hard through Clearways and ignoring the passenger screams a huge beach loomed up in front of me........arghhhh no no no more I have seen the light.......[X(]

THE END

Yes reckon the 964RS Register could be up for a bit of sheep worrying..........!*~~'#[:-]

Seriously Yoda if you want to get a convoy going to Wales/Beacons then please feel free to post a new thread here.......

Desmond

There is just one point that concerns me...." Virginal GP white bodywork" Its about as virginal as Jordan..

Unless youre talking about the car they used for the front half...[:D]

The reason simply is not good enough
Try again

Yoda just read your post again, did you spank the RS round the Brecon Beacons on those bumpy badger infested roads? You have to be more Barmy than, Barmy Bromley Badger Bashing Desssie......

Hi Des. The majority of the roads around Powys (inc the Brecon Beacons) are superb, made driving the RS an absolute joy. Nice sweeping roads, well surfaced and plenty wide enough. There are some really nice country hotels / spas, scenery is breathtaking and there are plenty of outdoor activities to explore (quad biking is really fun).

As for badgers, none whatsoever but watch out for the sheep (seriously).

Regards

That car is really too good Des. How's the search for the old 3.2 going? You know what would suit you for the track? A neutral handling, mid-engined, stripped out Boxster, you know it makes sense.

Yoda -I wouldn't mention Wales and sheep here if I were you, ppl will start to worry.

Mel
PS Can I have my wellies back now?[;)]

Des

Melv is completely wrong...a boxster would be useless for you on Track days....

However I have a Beach Buggy you could buy. [:D][:D]

Now there's a thought Lee. Equipped with sand tracks and shovels and a long, long tow rope of course!! [:D]

I used to do the Brecons, and the Valleys (tidy, isn't it, lovely boyo!) and the North on my bike....fantastic...until you come off[&o].....some big drops....big yuhaa's required...but great fun. Do it Yoda!

I was in my local Coiffure waiting for a trim and blow when I picked up a slightly soiled copy of Porsche Post.....there was a LHD Boxster white etc very cheap rang it up still for sale.......spoke to the owner in Brighton....could be the project....thanks for the tip Melv........

Sounds ideal Des! We'll trailer it up next week, or have you found an engine for it?

Mel

Engine with a breakers in Belgium form a wrecked GT3 MK1........apparently will slip in nicely....[&:]

One of the mags posted an article on a 996 engine swap, was not that straight forward from what I remember. For starters the ECU's all start getting confused if I remember correctly. The boxster as is will make an interesting track day car. Only thing that worries me is that very few people race them, which leaves you wondering why??? Would also guess it might be better to learn in something with similar "dynamics" rather than differing ones!
