Trackday Virgins see knockhill Sunday Starter day!!

P.S. To top my miserable day off,i found a nail in my rear tyre, apparently Porsche do not fix punctures so its £240 for 1 295/30 18inch Continental.
don't listen to their bollocks - take it to kwik fit and see if they will fix it - I had punctures fixed in my track tyres no problem - so long as it is on the flat and not on/near the sidewall then there is no issue.

As for the track day thats disappointing - they used to do what they called the "track day school" which I assumed was the same as this and was an excellent day - loads of instruction and duck/drake sessions...either this was something different or they've changed the format...

had a great day but track was slippery couldnt get power down then by 2.30 track dried out enough to get your foot down after that conditions were great . Novices ... ill have a word with K/Hill as i was led to believe tuition was ava/le
sorry i never got there in morning and regarding punctures had lots fixed they just want the money try J/DICKSON TYRES @ C/nauld maybe if its on side wall new tyre CU G

Alan, that sounds like it was a bummer of a morning! I'll hear all about it at the currie bowl on Wednesday.

Greig - Nail is at centre of tyre so hopefully it can be fixed by local Tyre garage. As for track day,the only instruction was a 10min breif read from an A4 peice of paper then everyone hit the track,i cant even remember being told to go easy as track is wet.The idea of a "track day school" with loads of instruction and duck/drake sessions sounds more like what i was expecting - maybe they were short of staff on the day.

Gordon - Glad the track dried up and you enjoyed it,i would have hung around but the rain was on & off all morning and i couldnt see it drying up. I guess i may need more instruction on how to drive the car quickly in the wet. I would be interested in what your Knockhill pals say about the format they had in mind.

Kim - I will catch up with you at Arta as i cant make the Curry Bowl on Wednesday.
