TULIP RALLY MAY 11TH.
- Thread starter gresley
- Start date
Myself and Carol are up for this, we will drag along the small child too.
PS Can we have instructions in KM (vague chance that we will not get hoplessly lost).
Fully understand your dilemna but it will mean individual calculations of a lot of numbers as we have not used a tulip programme to generate the route.
SO - being aware of my propensity to screw up repetitive tasks ( well any task really ) AND because I don't want to spoil your day by giving you duff figs. could I make a suggestion.
We will send to you the mileages as they appear on the numbered sheets ( will simply print out and cut them up then pop them in post - you can then make the calcs. as required and bring them to the event - perhaps with a glue stick. If , on the day, you/we then attach them to the tulip diagram sheets over where the mile equivs. are you should be okay. Alternatively you could send the reworked figs. back to me and I will attach them and bring the KM adjusted route with us on the day. Either way if you are okay with this then simply drop me a mail via my profile with your address and as soon as we have totally finalised and rechecked mileages I will send them to you by post.
Am I over complicating this - can anyone think of a simpler way? Equally has anyone else got this prob?

Andrew I wasn't being totally serious and I realise what a pain it would be, we will manage with some deft mental arithmetic, I am sure that we won't be taking it entirely seriously anyway

I'm assuming that you have used that spreadsheet that I sent you.
Convert kilometres to miles by multiplying the mileage figures you have calculated by a factor of 1.60934
If you have used Autoroute then change units from miles to kilometres. Create alternative tulip route instructions from it.
Cheers,

Just didn't want you marooned in deepest Wold country.
Offer still stands if you change your mind.
Andrew
Luckily the wife was born and grew up in the area and knows the area well, so although her navigational skills are questionable, we will eventually find our way home[]
Are interlopers from Cheshershire allowed?
Linda and I would like to be included if we may, one silver 930!!
