Turbo eater

Sorry Dan, didn't mean to upset anyone by posting this, just thought the "turbo eater" comment was slightly overstating the capabilities of the car.
 
It just goes to show. I'm glad I didn't say anything other than the seats would be slippery [:D].

Best of luck on your sale. Selling any modified car car be very disappointing and seldom, if every, recovers the cost of the parts invested in it.

When selling my Westfield I was on the brink of destroying it rather than someone paying a pittance and not appreciating what a bargain they had bought.
 
Too true. I spent ages trying to sell a modified TVR Cerbera. In the end, I took off the bits and sold the car as standard. People weren't interested in buying a car with proper suspension and brakes.

The upside was that I got more for selling the car and bits seperately than I was advertising the modified car for [:)]

It's worth thinking about if you do have trouble selling. If you've still got the standard parts to put back on, you would find plenty of takers for the bits to improve their cars.
 
Thats a really good idea, having spent ££££s modifying a 944 automatic, that only a tiny minority would ever buy I often wondered what Ild do if the time came to sell the old girl. Now I know, put the old bits back on and sell the GOOD bits separately. Thanks for that. Pip pip[:D]
 
To be fair I think what it made is a good offer. I'd probably sell if it was mine because I doubt anyone will pay more than that for it.
 
Always the problem with a modified car. You're selling to a very small market, and you'll never get a fraction of what you spent back.

I have got an EMC built S2... and yes its quick.. but it's even quicker when Alex Eacock is driving it!!!

and he does a 3:04 at SPA in his 8V race car
 
Do you have a dyno plot for the EMC S2 rebuild? I'm very curious to know what they're actually getting from the engines and what the curves look like.

Absolutely. The best modification you can make to any car is to have a correctly torqued nut holding the steering wheel..

Anybody else see Damon Hill on Top Gear "Star in a reasonably priced car"?
