Turbo For sale... yikes

Am I looking at the wrong car - a black S2 with burgundy interior for about twice what it's worth?

I think the mileage is so low because the owner couldn't stand to be in the car for longer than 5 minutes at a time [:D]

What an extraordinary car in so many ways - I agree the low mileage must be down to the fact that with that interior, migraine and nausea must set in quickly even on the shortest trips. [X(]

It's not often you see an S2 with M030 and LSD either

.........or one that's missing it's rear badges and hasn't had rear end attention [;)]

Deposit taken!!!!!! So the interior didnt put someone off.

Just out of interest, what code do i need to look out for on the sticker in the boot for LSD?

It's just burgundy. Now I don't like burgundy particularly, but it is far from as horrible as you guys are making out (I'd have it before pink tartan - which incidentally would have the same dash / headlining / console etc. - and probably before pinstripe as well, and I bet some of you have it already). The photo makes it look a lot worse than it is, and clearly "Nutley Sports and Prestige" or whatever they are called know less than they ought to about 944s to be selling them at that price if they think that's red, or that it has half leather.

I think it's an OK car, worth about half what they are asking for it as I said in my previous post. The original buyer specced it pretty well with M030, LSD and model designation delete. Personally I'd have gone for black leather, but leather was expensive (and some people prefer the extra grip of cloth, possibly the sort who buy LSDs and M030). Also lots of people prefer a contrast interior and for contrast his other option in 1989 was linen, which I'd avoid in cloth for practicality reasons; marine blue not being a realistic choice with panther black exterior. Of course the biggest boo-boo in the spec was omitting the turbocharger [:D]

I'm with Fen, I don't think the interior is all that bad against the black bodywork. I can't see burgundy working with too many other colours though.

My first Turbo was white with burgundy pinstripe full cloth heated sports (it was like being Velcro'd to the seat [:D]). Anyway I think a black car with burgundy half vinyl logo is a far nicer combo than mine was.

My mate still has my old car (his Dad bought it from me and sold it only because he was banned for 130+ on the M6 in it and his wife made him get rid) and while he doesn't like the interior he's only half-heartedly thinking of changing it and he'd be happy with a set of leather sports seats in burgundy to lose the velour rather than change the whole lot to blue or black.

Nice car that - The interior leaves a lot to be desired but.. .. If you got a Baltic Blue one with black leather , 170k miles and £3.5k you would have a better car for £10k less. [;)]

Baltic blue with black leather [:'(] Blue and black just don't go. I've never even seen a blue 944 with a black interior.

ORIGINAL: Fen

I seen one for sale about Scotland about 9 months ago maybe it wasnt Baltic Blue in fairness [&:] But it was bluey with black leather and LHD. Maybe the interior was changed .... I had a hankering after it but I had to calm down because
A. I was getting married
B. "You already have one - What do want with another" [:(]

[]

The red trim went well enough with my Rose Silver Turbo. If you think that red pinstripe is bad you should try tartan sports bolsters.....
