Turbo For sale... yikes

I totally agree pinstripes are less offensive than tartan as a pattern, but velour is the most offensive fabric known to mankind. Having spent the most formative of my years in the 80's I feel very nostalgic for the ear and there is alot I like about it, but velour is most definitely NOT in that category.

I think it's a bit misleading to describe this as red - there was a red interior option on a small number of cars and it was bright, pillar box red (but with black dash etc to tone it down). Burgundy is much more subdued than the photo suggests. Still naff, but not retina-burning like proper red would be if it was used everywhere.

I've nothing against blue 944s Donal - in fact Lee's is the best colour I've seen one in - and on the right car a black leather interior is a top choice as well, just not on the same car. I guess Porsche would have sold the combo if someone wanted it, but perhaps the deposit taken by the dealer when it was ordered would have been a little bit higher than if it had a complimentary colour combo [;)]

Well I have to agree with you there Fen [:D]

My blue is unusual though and changes with the light considerably and I even like the black leather interior[;)]

I agree with Fen, A great spec S2 but still an S2. (good to see you back BTW)
An S2 is like a 964 - a nice Car, - but a 951 (with a few wee mod's) is a car you get out of, and you look at it and think - how can you look so innocent and go like that?
I always liked Black / Burgundy at the time, - just like the Black / Martini Lined / 911 Turbo with Tartan cloth and CN36's at the Motorshow in 1976. Dont know why I remember it so clearly, I even have the same period steering wheel on my 964[8|].

Well I guess I have seen a blue 944 with black leather after all (I didn't look inside it I guess). I am surprised it's black with blue exterior though.

A good combo if your aircon is working properly (which mine was'nt for some years []) as due to mine being the S it has no sunroof, so even with our moderate summers, would get stinking hot.

Now after spending a mortgage getting said aircon working it is a very pleasant and "cool" place to sit [:D]

I must admit I have quite grown to like the Burgundy interior on mine but not the Edwardian pinstripe [8|]

..and you guys took used to extract the urine out of my interior! A red dash?!? Owch! ps my friends new S2 is M030 with LSD cost him £6k so I suppose he did ok actually
