TYRE PRESSURE

Interestingly enough 911Sport in Horncastle, Lincolnshire have suggested reducing thesr pressures to 28 / 34 as this significantly reduces the HARD ride AND reduces tyre wear They recommend it to all customers Driving back from Lincolnshire to Shrewsbury was considerably more comfortable, not so hard. Seems to even feel the white lines less. My tyres have worn badly (Partly due to suspension wear)

My personal preference is to run mine (18s 285/35s & 225/40s) 4psi lower than recommended at 32f & 40r when cold. Much less harsh and the pressures soon rise to just below recommended.

Have a look at their website. Its a very professional company in Horncastle - Actually 911Sport See my blog earlier helped me out in a big way

Cant believe what a difference it has made. THe LInolnshire Roads are REALLY bad and this made it much more comfortable Get home to Shrewsbury and bumps feel much less hard GREAT HINT Thanks Phil and Steve[8D]

ORIGINAL: Chris_in_the_UK 28 is too low for the front & it will influence how the tyres wear.
And 34 is too low for the rear IMO. I reckon up to 10% variation to suit personal preference would be about right, but close on 25% is a bit too much for me.

You’re right, Andy - this is what makes all the difference to tyre wear/ride harshness with 18s on these cars [;)]... i.e. around 4 psi all round lower than the Porsche quoted pressures when cold.

the nice man a porsche put a sticker under the bonnet lid with tyre pressure information, i use that. 75pno
