Cheers Gav I have looked at a few books and they do show a big gap at the top. I think I will go for 195 65 15 if I can get 195 70 15 I will look in to it but I think the 65' s will be fine the 185 I have a not the right ones no way. I will scan a couple of the other brochures I have, some time and get them to you and send you a CD of the resto of my car.
I am now retrimming the inside of the car. Sounds a big job I was not happy with the so called trimmers job that he did so I am going it my self. I have a vynal that is fairly close to the org but who cares it is new looking and it is going to look great. I have been photoing the progress

the bits' s done so far are the back shelf (on the right) and the top bar. And the divers / pass door top mounts.

Whilst trying to find a pic of the ' clutch helper spring' I was looking through the Duane Spencer 912 Guide and there is about four pages about tyre choices. If you have not got it, sure goes into plenty of detail. Let me know if you want me to let you have it?

cool i will have to bring mine to that trimmers[;)]have you any in red mark or know of anyone which sells it

as my parcel shelf is badly faded[:(]

Up date on the 356 .

Whilst at Alex' s at retromotorcompany the other day we had a good day ish.

356 in the air wheels off down the pub....

no

Engine out striped down to see that the crank has end play [:(] So I will have to look into that. 2 valves stuck and the 1 piston has the rings stuck. Other than that all Ok and well it' s been sitting about for 31 years now so what do you expect

All the brakes off and in the Collins work shop for clean and rebuild

The lights out so I can start to chase what goes where.

Flooring out in side the car and the drivers seat to get access

Fuel tank out and stop cock and fuel line

and then a beer down the pub.

Day two welding this is down to Alex now to work his magic and steady hand.

Can' t wait to get another day on the car as I think we can really get this going for the 356 int. (it may have to be trailered there and then driven up the drive way to BNMM but I am hopeful
