TYRES

Thanks for that Maurice - I'll take your advice and stick to the Pirelli PZeros for the rear.
I do like them, but was hoping to get a bit more mileage for my £[;)]. Maybe when the fronts finally wear a bit, I'll think about a change all round.
Hope to see you again soon as the season progresses[8D]!

I have Pirelli PZeros now, had Continental before mileage approximately 18k and were very good, but I find the PZeros have an iccle bit more traction. I hope they last as long, however going by the above information I am beginning to doubt it.

Contis getting good press on here......although mine only lasted 4.5K....on the rears which I was diasppointed with.....had geometry set up to RS spec at Tognola not sure if this increased wear rate but it defo improved handling !!!!!

SO2s excellent grip in the summer, not quite as good this time of year (obviously) but breakaway characteristics are very predictable i.e. it lets go progressively - but I have only ever had SO2s on the 993 so can't comment whether this is thanks to Porsche or Bridgestone.

Current set are 3000'ish miles old and I would reckon 40-50% worn, which I am happy enough with (mine isn't an everyday car).

I will be buying them again.

Just got 11k out of my rear SO2's - no track days - and still had 4mm left on them.

Much better than SO2A's which i suffered before.

Trying to source a couple of Conti N2's for rear of my C2 255/40/ZR 17's and everyone is on back order status to Germany and can't say when delivery likely.

I need to change them very shortly - anyone bought recently where there is stock ??
