I'd say Maritime Blue for a 964 ...but Signal Green if it's a widebody

I am partial to blood orange - so much so I've thought of buying this about 7 million times....
I do think black REALLY suits the 964, better than it suits any other 911....
Yes the orange looks great. Note how the black headlight trim is used to pick up the other black throughout the car.
As for total black 964, well I've seen loads.
I like black in the older models that have chrome trim, then it works really well.

The 964 RS conversion in GT3 orange in recent PP article was gorgeous,
especially with the black wheels. porsche porn to me.

Some colours are great on a 964. Rubystone and mint green, because they are the contemporary and typical colours - and so unique for the 964. These two colours - and maritime blue - are a piece of history. (Although I read in an article of the great Herbert Völker: "What will you tell your grandkids, when they will ask: How could you let these colours happen?"
A combination of black and orange like Jason´s former car - great. Silver - also cool, especially with all black interior, classic.
But to me, when it comes to my personal choice, it´s GP white. The 964 is the last real classic looking 911, and so this colour, which looks great from the very beginning of the 911 up to the 964, is the best.

The green one is signal green I believe, although on that bright sunny day most of our pics make it look minty. Here's the one I took:
Here's the full list of colours:

And lots of examples of the colours here:
