Underbonnet foam

mask and gloves it is then.

Just wondering - if after getting rid of most of the foam and there is still some that wont shift, is there something I could either spray or paint on which would stabilise it?
I'm generally not one for backache, so spending a few hours scraping it with my fingernails probably isn't going to happen!
 
I have a sticker in my engine bay which warns about asbestos content and the dangers of inhaling it. I want to remove the foam from my lux but will definitely be using a mask when doing so.
