Unknown warning light in centre console SURROUND

I used 3mm LEDs from Maplin, standard brightness. The 3 x red for the top row of lights are fine as is the yellow I used for the traction control. However, I would suggest using 5mm green for the spoiler and PDAS and probably high intensity ones as well. Whilst mine do light up, the light is very central to the legend and dims quite quickly to the edges. I may even change mine at a later date.

I tried a 3mm yellow first of all and concur that they underperform so whilst the kids are in bed this is what I've come up with as an alt...

I used an Ultrabright 'warm' white 5mm LED and soldered a 520OHM axial resistor into one of the LED legs. The PDAS is a 3mm 12v Green LED. There's room inside the switch to accommodate the resistor soldered on in this way.

One tip I would recommend is flattening off the tip of the LED with 1000/2000 wet and dry. The flattened off head diffuses the light slightly better and helps illuminate the edges. Once you have flattened it off, give it a good polish.

The results are really good and the warm white LED keeps it looking original and 'analogue' albeit 5x brighter...

I suspect 964s from 1990 will have a different bulb config for the spoiler?
