Have a read of that and feel free to add to the thread, or your own here of course, if you have any questions!
Why not air your concerns? There are plenty of members both here and elsewhere on the forum who have varying degrees of track day experience which they would be very happy to share and hopefully allay any specific concerns you have. There’s a dedicated section on the forum for Club track days if you would like a broader audience:

Can I suggest that you use a less cryptic title for your post though. [

I would echo Dave and Jeff’s posts, I’m still a relative newcomer and track day novice having only done half a dozen or so track days over the last couple of years.
i was really nervous of taking my pride and joy on the track having watched too many Nurburgring/ Nordschlife video horror stories on YouTube. But a group of friends in R5 have been fantastic and encouraged me to do it, and I genuinely wish I had done it before. Although I have to admit I still feel nervous at the beginning of each day, but by the end of the day I‘ve had the best time ever, there really is nothing like it.
The PCGB official track day’s are fantastic, they are well run and seem to me to be as safe as they can be. Let’s face it our cars were built to be driven properly and the track has to be safer than the public roads to explore your capabilities as well as the cars, although in my case the car is far more capable than me.
You will meet some great people and the sense of camaraderie is excellent, for me it has become one of the very best elements of club membership.
I would personally recommend that you book an instructor for an hour at the beginning of the day and then slowly build your confidence by going out for short sessions to practice what the instructor taught you and to learn the track. Just keep an eye in your mirrors to give the faster drivers plenty of time and space to get past you and you should be fine.
There is plenty of good advice in Dave’s excellent thread. The other thing that helped my confidence was I attended one of the excellent PCGB CAT driver training days at Millbrook in Bedfordshire, that was well worth the money and was a really good thing to do.
As my friends in R5 said to me, JFDI - Just flipping do it! I’m sure you will love it.

I shall have a read through those threads you recommended. You both sound very positive about taking your own car on the track, I have done track days in other cars but never my own. I suppose it is a little different when it is your pride and joy! Thank you for the advise Gentlemen!
Give it a go! I’m sure that you’ll enjoy the whole experience.

Where do you live? I think Blyton is a good place to start and I've just jumped on R4's day with some others... Also as Jeff has hinted at PCGB days are ran really well, everyone has lots of respect for one and other, I'll admit I'm a bit of a track day snob and will happily pay the higher prices to get the smaller numbers and people who care more about their cars. Hope to see you out there, had some great times and met some really cool people, pre COVID you could get passenger laps in lots of different cars too, not sure what will happen now, I hope that tradition continues.

I have started reading through the other posts, there is some very helpful information on there. Originally I was fishing for the zoom call and thought I would add to this.
Sorry, I screwed up by not recording the last call. All I can say is that there will be other Zoom meetings so there will be plenty of opportunity to share knowledge and experiences. I hope Callum doesn't mind but I will pinch the 'use as intended' as our continuing theme.
As you will know from your mailbox, the next zoom meeting is this morning, Saturday 20th March at 10:30. If any member cannot find the link, drop me a mail and I will send it by return.
And I will try to record this one!
