Morning all!

I've managed to "locate" a December build for an "s" Cab.

Next question - how much is my "02" 996 TT X50 worth - 24,500 miles.

????????????????

Answers on a postcard!!

Pistonheads!!!! where did you get that from :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Lucky I didn't say anything nasty about you on here now......!!! [:D]

They also have a slot for May next year - may take that instead - blat mine over the winter and have new toy for spring. Waiting for your chap to come back to me!! Thanks again though.....!

Coming back to the original question, I would guess in the 70's (but I am not an expert). Whereabouts is hard to judge, since I don't know what options you have.
Of course, if you trade it in the OPC's will give you 7-8K less than it will appear on the forecourt for.
At the moment there are no X50 cars listed. They would probably claim that it is fast enough without it, so will try to offer very little extra for having it.

Grant seems to have a good feel for the prices, so I'll defer to his better judgement.

It may also make a difference whether it is an 02 or 03 MY, as PCM2 is superior to PCM1.

PS My wife has '450-MN' on her Boxster. For some strange reason she never gets any parking or speeding tickets.

Hello Mike - when you get married!??

p.s. PCM1

Married? I'm completely lumbered - 1 wife, 2 kids, 3 dogs, 4 Porsches, school fees......

I wish I was still paying 10% income tax.

Good luck with turbo.

A Turbo cab. eh!
Hi Buster are you sitting down !!!!
I think £65k-ish trade £69k-ish private

Actually that hurts..... will def go for the Spring slot and get my moneys worth over the winter [:D]

<<Off now for large drink...............>>

Thanks buddy (I think....)

On the Porsche search agent, they have an 02 turbo with 20K miles for 69K, an 02 with 15K miles for 73 and another 02 with 19K miles for 72.
So a car with 24.5K would be around 67 I would think. Black is a safe colour.
But this is for a standard car, no aero kit or X50.

I would have thought these would be worth another 5-6K (it is 12K's worth of options), so giving a forecourt price of 72-73.

Trade would give you 7-8K less, so around Grant's figure of 65.
For private, I guess you split the difference.

I was told that they consider the original price in their trade calculations as well as how easily they can move it on, so you do get something back for all the options. Given the rarity of the X50 cars, I don't know if this will ultimately prove to be desireable or not.

The "S" comes with the ceramic brakes thrown in for free.
Given the reservations some have with these, are you thinking of getting some steel ones as well?

Thought once the trade price agreed for the x50 I could subtly remove the brakes ("Just in case" I need them later.....!)

I am now under instruction to avoid braking at all costs..... [:D]

Greg,

I hope you enjoy yours more than i have mine, i took delivery Mid August of Turbo Cab,
with PCCB's and must admit that i feel that i'm driving around in a fast and heavy Boxster that cost £104k !!!

But maybe i'm missing the point [&o]

Must say I've not driven one yet........

I would really advise it, especially going from a coupe to a Cab of the same car.
You may find a large difference in the driving dynamics.

Watch out for the PCCB's when you get them, they were a almost scary until they were run in on mine !!!

Glenn I can see where you are coming from, top down motoring isn't just about maximum grunt, it's more wind in the hair stuff. The other half has a Boxster S & I enjoy driving that roof down on a nice day as much as my Turbo, The TT definately suits the dynamics of a coupe better. Having said this you could argue that a 996TT Cab offers better value for money.... offering two cars in one!
The whole car buying thing does become too emotive, we boys love our toy's, if the truth be known we would all probably be better off financially with a new Boxster S, best value Porker in the range!
